Typically, most modern interior design and architecture found online or in print seems to be a repetition of muted or monochromatic color schemes, with little splashes of color scattered about. Not here…

In March of last year, I did a short feature about Ghislaine Viñas and her Warren Street Townhouse project which had recently won Interior Design Magazine’s Best of 2010 award for Urban Residential Design. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feature her great interior work, which I think is still remarkable, even after almost a year of great modern design/architecture projects featured on some fantastic blogs such as Plastolux and ChicTip. In sharp contrast to the ubiquitous modern project noted above, Ghislaine Viñas’s masterful use of superimposed colors and eclectic layers of finishes, fixtures, and furniture is just incredible.
