I’m such a geek when it comes to this stuff. A spec package (a collection of product information specified to be part of project) I recently received from an architect included this USB charger outlet made by Leviton. Love it. I know there are a bunch of aftermarket plug-in type products, but the cleanness of using this device, a necessity in this 21st century, is beautiful. It costs about $20/each.
From the manufacturer’s website:
USB Charger/Tamper-Resistant Receptacle
Leviton’s USB Charger/Tamper-Resistant Receptacles offer a ground-breaking 2.1A of charging power with a 15A/125V or 20A/125V Tamper-Resistant Receptacle. For the ultimate in convenience, these state-of-the-art devices have the capability to charge up to two USB powered electronic devices simultaneously utilizing the USB Ports, leaving the receptacle free for additional power needs.
